Subaru announced the recall of certain models where the steering column may have been improperly machined and as a result turning the steering wheel may have no affect on the direction of your cars wheels.
Due to this steering recall, Subaru has advised owners of the models recalled, not to drive them until inspected by Subaru. Notice has been provided that Subaru will send a technician to a customer’s location to inspect the steering column. This loss of steering ability and recall affects cars worldwide.
Don’t continue to drive if your car falls within this recall. Subaru of America will replace the steering column, as necessary, free of charge.
