In these challenging times, our friends at Morton Capital are giving back in the best way they know how: by offering you, or anyone else who needs guidance right now, free financial planning. We have maintained a professional relationship with Morton Capital for more than 20 years, and it is with great admiration for their entire team that we wanted to share this news.
We have always shed away from anything that resembles cross-promotion on our blog, because we would never want to risk doing wrong by you. That we would consider devoting a post to our friends at Morton Capital is itself a testament to how passionately we feel about the great work their company does.
Not only are they extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy, but they are warm and personable too. And these days, with the sky feeling like it’s falling around us, that’s something to hold onto. So coming from our own personal experience, and a loyalty that’s now in its third decade, we hope to pass our own confidence along to you.
This pandemic has been financially devastating for so many. In Los Angeles alone, more than 1.3 million people have lost their jobs due to COVID-19. Nationwide, an additional 3.8 million people filed for unemployment benefits last week, bringing the total number of initial claims filed since the first stay at home orders were announced up to 30.3 million — a staggering figure which, per the Washington Post, “represents roughly 1 in 5 American workers.”
Just a few short months ago, the national jobless rate stood at 3.5%, the culmination of more than a decade’s worth of job growth; enough to finally fully put the Great Recession in the rearview mirror. In only six short weeks, all of that progress has been wiped clean away.
Money is tight. Few people have the luxury right now to say otherwise. For those lucky enough to still have a job, or for essential workers on the frontlines of the outbreak, financial uncertainty still looms. To say it is scary and stressful is to put it lightly.
In the fog of financial uncertainty, Morton Capital is a lighthouse. Your questions have answers, they have the expertise and experience to help guide you on your way to financial success — whatever that means to you. The best part is: there are no strings attached. Like us, they believe that we are stronger together. Their strength is in the financial sphere, and in light of the challenging times that we are all facing, they want to help anyone who finds themselves in need of guidance. This is them giving back, and we can add that to the long list of reasons we love Morton Capital.
