I enjoy many forms of motor sports, however; after watching the MotoGP race from Argentina this past Sunday, I must say that MotoGP is the most exciting form of motor sports on the planet, hands down.
First of all, it was like watching two great separate races. The first half of the race, prior to the bike swap, really got my going because Rossi, once again, started slow but moved through the pack to catch Marquez just before he and Marquez came into the pits to swap out their bikes. Then, the second half: Unfortunately Rossi could not match Marquez but the race developed into a very interesting battle for second, third and fourth involving Ducati with Iannone and Dovisioso, and Rossi on Yamaha. Then, could you believe it when Iannone took out his teammate Dovisioso on the last corner of the last lap leaving Rossi to pick up a second and Pedrosa a third. Wow. If you missed this part of the race, check out the video below.
- Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team): 41 points
- Valentino Rossi- (Movistar Yamaha): 33 points
- Dani Pedrosa- (Repsol Honda Team): 27 points
Also, do not forget to check out this weekend’s Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas at 12:00PM (PT). This should be a very exciting race especially when it is taken on American soil. I am very eager to see the outcome of this race especially after the race in Argentina! Below is the circuit.
This past weekend was also a very exciting Formula 1 Race. A few highlights from this weekend’s race at the Bahrain Grand Prix would involve the fact the Vetell’s Ferarri had an engine failure prior to the start. Also, Rosberg’s flawless driving has led him to first place again with five wins in a row! He is now in a 17- point title lead over Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton.
- Nico Rosberg (Mercedes): 50 points
- Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes): 33 points
- Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull): 24 points
The next race will take place on April 17 in Shanghai, China!
