It’s time for Motor Sports Weekend and I couldn’t be more excited to see this weekend’s Formula 1 and MotoGP races.
Reports show that McLaren driver Fernando Alonso may miss the Bahrain Grand Prix as a precaution after his high speed crash with Esteban Gutierrez in Melbourne. McLaren confirmed Alonso’s seat was damaged in the accident and will be replaced for this weekend’s race. Although the driver left the wreckage without any harm, the Spaniard has been declared unfit to compete this weekend. Highly rated, Stoffel Vandoorne will be making his long awaited debut in Bahrain. If you missed the crash from Melbourne, check out the video below!
Whoever ends up racing this weekend, I look forward to a good race. The race will take place in Bahrain from April 1-3. The main event will be on Sunday, April 3 at 8 AM.
Valentino Rossi finished his race in the fourth position just 2.387s behind his teammate Jorge Lorenzo. Although disappointed, Rossi stayed optimistic:
“In Qatar I was not able to go on the podium but it was a good race anyway. We worked well throughout the weekend. In Argentina we will have to do the same thing, but we’ll have to do better in the race and try to get on the podium. I really like the Termas track and we will try our best!”
The Argentinian Grand Prix will be held this weekend on April 3rd at 12:00PM at the Termas de Rio Hondo Circuit.
