“Are you the parent of a young driver? Ventura County Start Smart is for you!”

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has developed statewide free classes to raise awareness and diminish the number of teen-related accidents. Ventura County Start Smart classes, taught by a local police department, aim to help young teen drivers and their parents fully comprehend the responsibilities of being a licensed driver.

  2. Collision causing elements and distractions
  3. Importance of seat belt restraints
  4. Collision avoidance and responsible driving techniques

 Apart from technical strategies to avoid car accidents, testimonials of fatal collisions will be presented by police officers and parents.
