David Reinard has been a trial lawyer since 1991. While he started his career working for insurance companies, he soon realized that it was wrong to help insurance companies take advantage of people who had been seriously injured in cases of clear negligence. Therefore, he left his job with a top firm so that he could help improve peoples’ lives, not increase insurance companies’ bottom lines.
Since that time, David has been 100% committed to helping seriously injured people obtain justice. Because of his efforts, he is widely recognized as a skilled, aggressive, effective advocate for the rights of injured people.
David’s accomplishments are recognized by every organization that matters. He holds the “Associate” rank in the American Board of Trial Advocates, which invites only the most experienced, ethical trial lawyers to join its ranks. He has received an “AV Preeminent” Rating (the very highest) from Martindale-Hubbell, the most respected source of authoritative and dependable information about members of the legal community in the world. He has been regularly named a Southern California Super Lawyer, a designation – based on reviews by attorneys – given to a very small percentage of lawyers. He has a “10 – Superb” rating from Avvo, a leading lawyer rating website that rates and profiles lawyers in every state to help consumers evaluate and select an excellent lawyer for their needs. He is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Attorney Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association.
David is often requested to provide his expertise to other attorneys by speaking at legal education seminars, including at CAALA’s annual convention (the largest of its kind, with 2000 attendees), at ABOTA’s “Jack Daniel’s Trial School,” and for Attorney Boot Camp, a leading provider of training for lawyers. He is also consulted on a daily basis by experienced attorneys for advice on difficult issues in their cases.
David has successfully tried lawsuits against Allstate, Farmers Insurance, AAA, State Farm, Mercury, and others. In his career, he has handled more than 35 cases which resulted in settlements or verdicts in excess of $1 million for his clients, In 2019, for example, he obtained a settlement of $16 million for a client who suffered a brain injury when he was struck by a truck while in a crosswalk.
